Children and Families Voluntary Sector Forum

A picture for Children-and-Families-Voluntary-Sector-Forum

Do you run a voluntary group? Would you like to help Children and Young People to be heard? Would you like to be involved in improving services and facilities for Children and Young People in Wiltshire? Would you like to know how Children and Young Peoples’ services are being developed?

The Wiltshire Children & Young People’s Trust is where the future children and young people’s services will be discussed & planned. The Trust’s priorities include promoting the five outcomes of Every Child Matters in Wiltshire. National Government has acknowledged the increasing importance of the Voluntary and Community Sector in shaping and delivering public services. The Wiltshire Children’s Fund has established the Children & Families Voluntary Sector Forum to consult and represent this sector. Two members of the Forum have been elected to sit on the Wiltshire Children & Young People’s Trust Board.

One of the first priorities for the Forum is to establish a database of Voluntary and Community groups across Wiltshire. Groups that are already involved in the Forum and those who would like to be involved, are requested to complete the form on the following page, and return it by post to Val the Forum’s Development Worker, this is for compliance with Data Protection. All groups are asked to pass copies onto other Voluntary and Community Groups they come into contact with. Any suggestions of events where the Forum should be represented will also be gratefully received.
