It is amazing what you can learn when you start to dig and explore the history of your village. So far we have uncovered thet fact that there has been a religious settlement on the site long before the church was built back in the 14th century. We have discovered the site of an old windmill within the bounds of the village - hence the original names for one of the roads, Windmill Hill Road, which does not exist today.

Upcoming events:
March 25th to May 31st, the Athalstan Museum, Town Hall in Malmsbury will be hosting an exhibition by the village of Hankerton that traces the history of the village from Paleolithic times to present
