Cherhill Village Hall is centrally located, mid way along The Street, SN11 8XP. It was built in 1977 and serves the village and local communities in many ways. It is popular as a centre for entertainment, leisure, sporting and meeting activities. The centrally heated Main Hall offers the facilities of spacious accommodation with a raised stage, dance floor and fully equipped kitchen which was updated in 2009. A separate adjoining Meeting Room is avilable to hire. The hall has its own small car park as shown in the photograph. Recent improvements have brought the hall into line with the Disabled Disability Act including a fully accessible toilet. We now have excellent lighting and access. An inductive hearing loop is fitted. An amplified sound system is installed and the Cherhill Village Theatre have excellent facilities for stage lighting.

The main hall measures 16 by 8 metres with a ceiling height of 2.4 metres. (52' x 26 x 8') The stage extends across the full width to a depth of 2.8 metres. The hall holds a Premises Licence, and temporary events licences may be obtained for the sale of alcohol for events. The kitchen has a large cooker, a fridge freezer as well as a standard fridge, microvave as well a kettle and large electric urn. The hall is regularly used by local groups. These include Oldbury Wednesday Club, Scouts, Cubs and Beavers, Keep fit and Yoga, Cherhill Toddler Group. Monthly meetings are held by Cherhill W.I. (who also occasionally arrange very popular Big Breakfasts on Sunday mornings), and the Cherhill Gardening club. The Cherhill Theatre hire the hall for their regular annual Pantomime at the end of January and beginning of February and occasionally plays. (During this period the stage extends into the hall and the capacity is slightly reduced.)

The Cherhill Village Hall committee arrange popular entertaining events during the year. These help to "bring the village together" as well as contribute to the annual running costs. The activities listed above are a guide but many more bookings are received during the year.
