Whats On

We are a group of local people supporting a individuals and organisations around Bwindi Impenetrable Rainforest in south west Uganda. The region has been badly hit by HIV/AIDs leaving many orphans, described as the 'Orphan Crisis' - around 1 in 4 children in Uganda are orphans. 1 in 5 households includes at least one orphan, often many more, and many families are headed by grandmothers or by children (child headed households).

Bwindi Impenetrable Rainforest has been a National Park since the early '90's. The Batwa people who lived in the forest were displaced (now living in great poverty on the edge of the park) and the local community can no longer use the natural resources of the forest. We currently support Stay Safe Children Foundation and Bwindi Community Hospital, as well as several students.
